School Camp Monitor/Coordinator 2023

Description

Have you worked with kids before, or have you worked on one of our camps before? We are looking for one person to join us as a full camp monitor. We don’t yet know the exact dates but they will most likely be between March-June (with the possibility to continue on for the summer). However, feel free to apply as you will be able to put your dates on your application.

The position would involve working on our school camps. These are ‘mini’ camps which take place over 3-5 days with Spanish public and private schools. As a monitor, you would be involved in the running of activities and English classes on the camp. It is 24/7 work, but it is incredible fun to work with children. You will also supervise the campers during various parts of the day including projects, crafts, evening entertainment, and waking up and putting to bed. This type of work means long hours and lots of energy, but it is also fun and engaging work in beautiful surroundings. (see some of our sites here)

When not on a camp, you would help with tasks in our office to prepare and tidy up for the camps.

Benefits and Conditions

On a camp, food and accomodation is provided for. When not on a camp, accomodation is provided for in our company apartment. Lunch is provided Monday-Friday in our work canteen.

Renumeration: 550 euro NET per month.

School Camp Coordinator

On each of our school camps, we always have someone who has experience working on camps, working children, etc. who is responsible for coordinating the camp. This means running the activity programme, running evening entertainments, managing the other monitors, etc.

The position is perfect for a young person who wants to take on more responsibility, and learn how to manage other people. When on a camp, you would be the ‘quality control’ to make sure everything is running as it should, and also when needed liaising with the school teachers when and if needed. The coordinators job is very varied, and every day throws up a new and exciting challenge, so it is the perfect position for someone who wants to learn on the spot and through experience.
