What is it like to be a monitor?
Being a monitor means you are a role model, friend, instructor to the campers. You are their surrogate parent while they are on camp and are there to make sure they are safe and, of course, having fun.
A day in my life as a TECS employee
As Camp Secretary I work directly with the Director of Language Camp, Liv and Head Activity Coordinator, Emma. I am responsible for many different areas such as learning how to interview staff, communication and coordination with contracted staff, logistical planning, and much more.

"Overall there is nothing I would change about my summer camp secretary placement. This is because I had such an amazing experience in spain. From my work placement I got the opportunity to live abroad and experience a new culture while improving my Spanish. I also was able to meet so many new people who …
